Assembly Instructions for Caliper Rebuild Kits
Assembly Instructions for Frenkit Performance Brake Caliper Repair Kits
Suitable for sports cars and sport brake systems.
The braking system is an active safety component in a vehicle. All work related to this system must be performed by qualified personnel.

Important: Do not use any type of grease with Frenkit Performance kits. This will degrade the dust boots!

Caution:
When installing the pistons, avoid contact with brake fluid. The Frenkit Performance dust boots are made from a special silicone-based material designed for high-temperature performance and should be installed dry! Avoid any contact with grease or fluids on the dust boots!
Mounting Instructions:
-
Frenkit Performance kits must be installed in a properly prepared caliper housing. Remove all dirt, old brake fluid, and grease. Clean all mating surfaces with a suitable brake cleaner.
-
Before installation, soak the piston seals in brake fluid for at least 30 minutes.
-
Install the piston seals carefully, ensuring they are seated evenly and correctly, without any damage or kinks.
-
Install the piston dust covers (dust boots) manually or with a special mandrel tool. Ensure uniform installation without damage or distortion.
-
Install the caliper piston gently, applying even pressure. Avoid excessive force, which can damage the seals.
-
Apply the temperature-indicating label to the brake caliper housing to monitor maximum operating temperature.
